A marine photographers’ festival and exhibition РОССИЯ МОРСКАЯ (MARINE RUSSIA) ran from March 6 to April 19 in Classic Photography Gallery in Moscow.

The exhibition featured more than 250 works of professional photographers, united by a genuine and sincere passion, the Sea. The exhibition allowed its visitors to experience beauty and poetry of the large lengths of seas, appreciate the spindrift of waves, salty fluttering sails and albatrosses tranquilly floating above the sea.

One of the gallery halls was designated for the works of Polar Expedition Gallery photographers. They carried out the shooting in severe weather conditions of hard-to-reach Barents Sea coastline areas during the November 2014 Expedition on board the R/V Kartesh. Large-format photographs of exceptional quality caught the interest of the landscape photography enthusiasts. Moreover, the visitors had an opportunity to talk to the authors in person.
